RAiNA Hosted Member Webinar – Benefits of Structural Composite Metal Hybrid Sub-Framing in Rainscreen Design
Wednesday, April 17, 2024 (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
There are many details that must be taken into consideration during the selection of a rainscreen sub-framing system. This webinar will provide a baseline understanding of the differences between steel, fiber-reinforced polymer, and composite metal hybrid systems, then showcase how composite metal hybrid sub-framing systems combine the structural integrity of steel with the thermal insulative properties of fiber-reinforced polymers to benefit building envelope design.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Participants will be able to relay how continuous insulation (CI) systems with composite metal hybrid (CMH) sub-framing benefits modern rainscreen design and construction.
2. Participants will be able to recognize industry-preferred best practice solutions for continuous insulation systems.
3. Participants will be able to identify various CI sub-framing materials and how each impacts the rainscreen system.
4. Participants will be able to identify how CMH sub-framing benefits the performance and resiliency of rainscreen construction while contributing to project participants’ health, safety, and welfare.
