Deep Dive into Rainscreens Session 3 delves into one of the two most important performance aspects that distinguish rainscreen wall systems from other rainwater management approaches: water drainage. 

RDH Principal and Senior Building Science Specialist, Dr. John Straube, will share common methods for achieving effective water drainage in rainscreen wall assemblies. John will draw from over 25 years of laboratory testing and forensic experience to dispel common misconceptions and provide insights into determining the optimal size of the drainage gap—a question that has long intrigued the building industry.
